About the Role:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchenhand to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting our kitchen staff in preparing and serving nutritious meals to our residents.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with food preparation under the guidance of the head chef or kitchen supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area.
• Assist in serving meals to residents in accordance with their dietary requirements.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Follow all food safety and hygiene protocols.
• Assist with stock control and inventory management.
• Support other kitchen staff members as needed.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a kitchen environment is preferred.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Understanding of dietary requirements for older adults preferred.
• Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards elderly residents.
• Current Police Clearance (No more than 6 months old)
• Proof of Right to Work in Australia
