iX Syrinx Pharmaceuticals is a GMP licensed facility with the latest technology and equipment to ensure the manufacture of high-quality specialty pharmaceutical products.
The manufacturing facility in Croydon, Victoria, is also a Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) and Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) approved.
Due to our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced candidate to become part of our team.
Overview of the position:
The successful candidate will be motivated, well organised and have a focus on delivering high quality results in a timely manner. They will undertake a wide range of tasks with competing deadlines and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Perform, observe, and follow, the company’s GLP, GMP and WH&S policies in the laboratory and keep the workplace clean and tidy.
- Perform wet chemistry testing.
- Perform routine testing on API/raw materials and finished product, as required for release and stability testing.
- Perform calibration, maintenance and assist with troubleshooting of instruments and equipment to ensure continuous workflow of analysis.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment includes glassware cleaning duties.
- Assist with the ordering and stock maintenance of lab consumables.
- Data entry, trend analysis and report generation for lab results and testing.
- Participate in Laboratory Continuous Improvement activities.
- Maintain QC records in accordance with company requirements.
- Notify the QA management of any OOS results and conduct all necessary investigations, including root cause analysis.
Requirements for this role:
- Chemistry or Science Degree (or other related tertiary degree) with appropriate experience in a relevant scientific field
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and ability to work productively in a team and independently to ensure smooth workflow for the laboratory team and maintain a positive and professional rapport with staff (essential).
- Hands-on experience in a laboratory environment
- Ability to test water content using Karl Fischer Volumetric Titrator equipment, disintegration, and various other routine tests as per the current USP/BP/EU guidelines (Wet Chemistry)
- Experience using Empower3 software and Waters HPLC systems.
- Ability to prioritize work to meet daily deadlines and batch release timelines.
- Ability to work in a GMP/GLP environment.
- Willingness to learn and participate in lab continuous improvement projects.
