Our state of the art Nestle Quality Assurance Centre (NQAC) Mulgrave team is looking for an experienced Laboratory Analyst for a permanent role in our Chemistry Lab.
A day in the life…
Reporting to the Section Manager of Chemistry Lab, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Planning and performing analytical methods and procedures for QC testing whilst maintaining GMP and ISO 17025 compliance.
  • Responsible for implementing and optimising analytical methods.
  • Assist with creating SOP's for use in laboratory.
  • Prepare and submit required reports (e.g., validation).
  • Support and execute deviation, OOS, Root Cause investigations and CAPA.
  • Participate in problem solving routines and maintain work area according to 5S principles.
  • Participate in laboratory audit program.
This is a chance to join a close-knit motivated and professional team at NQAC, where we provide analytical services to Nestle factories and co-manufacturers in the Oceania region.
What will make you successful
  • Tertiary qualification in Chemistry or related discipline
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in a commercial Chemistry Laboratory or a laboratory that handles routine analysis.
  • Experience in a food laboratory working with HPLC, GC, ICP-OES, LC-MS/MS and knowledge of basic preventative maintenance on these instruments.
  • Experience using a Laboratory Information Management (LIMS) system.
  • Previous experience in a NATA accredited or TGA licensed laboratory.
  • Experience in SOP writing to comply with NATA and TGA requirements.
  • Great attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to handle responsibilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
