About the Position:
We are seeking a driven, proactive team player to join our Microbiological Media Department team who is:
- Available to work our afternoon shift Monday – Friday (full time hours, 12pm – 8pm).
- Organized, good time management, enjoys keeping area neat and tidy.
- Understands the needs of a fast-paced laboratory and can work under pressure while still producing quality work.
- Can communicate and work with various stakeholders.
- Enjoys physical work and is capable of working on their feet for long periods.
- Is comfortable using various types of laboratory equipment (i.e. BSC, Autoclaves, Balance, pH Meter, Data Loggers, etc).
- Able to manage competing media demands.
Key Position Objectives:
Reporting to the Media Team Leader and Bacterin Manager, the role will focus on:
- Compliance with quality standards and adhering to SOP’s/work instructions.
- Keeping detailed and accurate GMP records.
- Preparation and production of in-house microbiological culture media & reagents.
- Calibration & Maintenance of various equipment.
- Able to work with and maintain various types of laboratory equipment.
- Has a basic understanding in maths for recipe like calculations etc.
- Stock-take of dehydrates & reagents as required.
- Stocking cool room & rotating media manufactured in-house.
- Good laboratory housekeeping and cleaning.
- Carry out other tasks as directed by the Team Leader and/or Manager.
Qualifications & Attributes:
As a critical role within Treidlia Biovet, the successful applicant will most likely possess the following attributes:
- Previous work experience in a GMP/GLP environment will be highly regarded.
- Diligent with attention to detail.
- Very good GMP documentation skills.
- Good communication & computer skills (Excel, Word etc).
- Possess good team building skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively, while following directives where necessary.
