About the role

We are looking for a motivated person who, preferably, has knowledge and previous experience in specimen reception responsibilities in a diagnostic pathology laboratory.

This position is suited to a person who has an understanding of pathology, will be flexible to work a variety of shifts, and can work within a multi-discipline team.

This position is based at Angliss Hospital. You may also be required to work at Box Hill or Maroondah hospital laboratories.

The Angliss Laboratory operates 24/7. Laboratory Assistants are required to work day shifts M-F, and occasionally afternoon and evening shifts, including weekends.

About you 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• VCE or qualification in Pathology
• A strong commitment to high quality care
• The ability to work as part of a diverse team
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Previous experience in a pathology (specimen reception) with an understanding of medical terminology is desirable
