About the role:
On behalf of our client, Global Skilled Employment Services is looking for experienced Laboratory Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation. This laboratory is not only a busy environment but leads a team. We are seeking a driven individual who has experience in the areas of result documentation, record keeping, laboratory quality systems and product sampling and processing.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Science / Biotechnology (majoring in Microbiology and / or Molecular Biology). Additionally, Chemistry would be advantageous
- Internal Auditing Qualifications
- NATA ISO 17025 Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in the meat industry preferred
- Proven consultative and leadership style
- Strong ability to multitask and manage an ongoing diverse workload
- Experience in large and complex organisations preferred
- Experience in PCR, Molecular Biology, Microbiology and Chemistry techniques highly desirable
- Proven experience in updating SOPs and Quality Management (as per NATA and Department Of Agriculture)
- Reporting results as per NATA and Department Of Agriculture Approved based methods including export requirements
- Ability to manage Microbiology, Chemistry and Microbiology Lab (up to seven days per week)
