Laboratory Services Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Be first point of call to receive delivery of goods, consumables and returning client kits
• Develop and implement inventory management policies and procedures
• Monitor inventory levels and generate purchase orders to maintain optimal stock levels
• Track inventory movements and adjust inventory levels as necessary
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that inventory is available to meet production and sales demands
• Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile inventory discrepancies
• Analyse inventory data and generate reports on stock levels, sales trends, and inventory turnover
• Implement strategies to reduce excess inventory and associated costs
• Identify and resolve inventory-related issues in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to inventory management
• Production and dispatch of kits to clients and manufacture of processing trays/consumables
• Various documentation and administration duties as required
• Manage the administration of the facility's access control system
• Participate in the maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and systems
• Liaise with and schedule maintenance staff/contractors
