POSITION SUMMARY
The purpose of the position of Science Laboratory Technician is to provide support to the Science Department in the delivery of the curricular Science program.
The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for setting up equipment and materials for practical work, material and equipment allocation, support class demonstrations and practical work, assist with ordering equipment and chemicals, and ensure students are confident in using laboratory equipment correctly and safely at all times.
Qualifications and Training
- Diploma in Applied Science or equivalent study.
- Appropriate technical or science qualification.
- Must hold, or be willing to acquire prior to commencement, a Working with Children Check.
- Hold and maintain Apply First Aid HLTAID011 (or an equivalent qualification) and Anaphylaxis Training.
- Child Safety Training, including Mandatory Reporting provided by the School with our provider CompliSpace.
