Role:Cementing Laboratory Technician
Location: Moomba SA
Type of contract: Contractor (Temp to Permanent Available)
Roster: FIFO - 2 weeks on | 2 Weeks Off
Job Description:
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and reliable PSD to customers. The Laboratory Technician identifies opportunities to improve service delivery. This person performs quality assurance tests on company products, prepares laboratory reports prior to service delivery at the wellsite, and provides advanced technical support during additive selection and fluid design. The Laboratory Technician maintains contact with the Client Support Labs and/or operating locations, product centres and the InTouch repository.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conduct Lab Analysis
- Responsible for Maintenance, Calibration and running tests on Laboratory equipment.
- Develop and improve cement slurry designs.
- Monitor testing.
- Develop extensive relationships with client facing engineers to enable fast and efficient service delivery.
- Build an effective quality of work and skill set to effectively provide excellent Service delivery.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma of Science or Equivalent.
- Excellent Mechanical Aptitude, with a keen willingness to learn new skills.
- 2 Years of experience in machine maintenance in a laboratory environment.
- Knowledge of Word, Excel and some exposure to SAP.
- Able to handle a constantly evolving environment while maintaining a professional mindset.
