Laboratory Technician

The Laboratory Technician will be involved with the testing of wine from grape through to bottle ready. Dorrien is an HACCP accredited site and works closely with the multi-accredited Vinpac laboratory to ensure we maintain our premium product standards.

Here's a taste of what you can expect in the role:

• Ensure the laboratory is operated to the highest safety standards possible.
• Ensure all HACCP and food safety practices are followed at all times.
• Ensure all standard operating procedures are followed at all times.
• Effectively communicate with other Team Members in the laboratory and across multiple departments.
• Perform chemical analysis.
• Ensure the validity of results through QA & QC protocols.
• Enter, review and report data using LIMS & other company systems.
• Perform instrument troubleshooting and report any issues to the Laboratory Supervisor.
• Perform calibration and maintenance activities as per site calibration and maintenance program.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Ensure that the laboratory is maintained in a clean and tidy condition conducive to the effective operation of the department.
• Proactively seek and recommend continuous improvement of operating systems and procedures.

Now let's talk about you:

• Previous laboratory experience, preferably working with wine.
• High level of literacy and numeracy skills.
• Excellent communication skills (written/verbal).
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work across teams.
• Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
• Strong desire to develop self and team.
