Laboratory Technician

We currently have a vacancy for a Laboratory Technicianavailable for immediate start at our laboratory located in Burra, SA. The laboratory is an advanced facility with UV-VIS, AAS, ICP, wet chemical techniques analytical supporting equipment.
As a Laboratory Technician, your duties will include:
- Undertaking sample preparation
- Perform analysis of samples of various matrices by AAS, ICP, UV-VIS and using other advanced analytical instruments.
- Performing calibrations
- Ensure testing methodology and quality control procedures are followed per Adchem quality system.
- Laboratory housekeeping is kept to a high standard to ensure a safe, healthy and clean working environment
We are looking for positive and enthusiastic candidates who are committed to providing a high level of service, as well as the following attributes:
- Appropriate tertiary qualification in Science, preferably in Chemistry
- A team player with the ability to work autonomously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A strong commitment to OH&S
- A hard worker
This is a salaried position, and attractive remuneration package, commensurate with the role will be offered to the successful applicant and additional capabilities and skills will be recognised where appropriate.
Whilst a full-time appointment is preferred, options for flexible working hours or part-time employment can be considered for a suitably qualified applicant. Applicants may be required to work on weekends and public holidays as required.
