Laboratory Technologist to join CUB's iconic Yatala brewery. Reporting into the Quality Assurance Coordinator, you will be required to provide analytical chemistry support to the operations team at the Yatala site. This includes sample management and testing of beverages as well as providing timely data to stakeholders to ensure group quality and customer standards are being met.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure samples are prepared with intact integrity according to CUB methods.
- Analyse samples as per business standards, maintaining the quality and traceability of all analytical data.
- Ensure relevant apparatus equipment and reagents are prepared as per CUB methods.
- Maintain accurate and consistent laboratory calibration and results records.
- Training & development of staff.
- Development of standard operating procedures and training programs as required.
- Ensure equipment is operated, maintained and calibrated according to manufacturers and business methods at the correct frequencies.
- Ensure hazardous chemicals are identified and appropriate handling techniques are understood.

Qualifications:- Chemistry degree qualifications with proven experience operating in an analytical chemist capacity, ideally within food or beverage manufacturing.
Experience & Skills:- Good statistical understanding and the application of statistical tools in manufacturing /laboratory environments.
- Understanding and application of ISO/IEC 17025: 2005 and Good Laboratory Practices.
- High proficiency in chromatographic analytical instrumentation - HPLC and/or GC.
- The ability to work autonomously.
- The ability to facilitate effective problem solving/investigations on quality issues.
- Strong communication skills.
