With a reputation for responding to the site, whether parkland or urban garden, the practice strives to enhance built form in ways that balance innovation with hard-earned knowledge and an ability to create beautiful enduring outcomes for their clients.DBS is seeking a Landscape Architect with 2-3 years experience in the industry, who is specifically interested in the documentation and multi-residential sector.This role will primarily be based around the management of multiple multi-residential projects and the progression of these projects once they have been submitted for DA. The successful applicant should be comfortable communicating with council, architects, developers and subcontractors, and have a particular interest in seeing projects through the tender and landscape specification stages.About the role
- Manage a projects progression between DA submission - installation
- Answer RFI's from council, architects, other consultants on primarily multi-res projects
- Participate in ongoing project meetings for a variety of projects, primarily online, to manage the progression from DA to tendering of the landscape design
- Prepare landscape specification (tender) documentation sets, primarily for multi-residential projects
- Liaise with architects on specific jobs to gather information on council requirements, council conditions etc
- Attend meetings with council and contractors including ‘Without Prejudice' meetings, possible attendance at Land and Environment Court meetings (more rare)
- Image presentations for client presentation
- General admin duties
- Prepare landscape plans using vectorworks
- Use Indesign and photoshop for client presentations
- Amendments to landscape plans using Vectorworks
- Site analysis, including photos of existing site/vegetation and preparation of site analysis plans
- Client consultation and documentation of site and client meetings
- Preparation of concept plans and documentation
- Presentation of concept plans to clients with Director
- Preparation of landscape documentation required for Council for DA, CC and S4.55 submissions
- Preparation of costing documentation for client presentations
- Organisation of sub-contractor quotes (this will include site meetings to discuss the scope with each specific trade)
- Research for specific projects as well as researching for general design and horticultural knowledge
- Report writing
- Preparation of tender documentation
- Management of requests and queries from customers and other consultants
- Council research
- General assistance to directors and associates.
- Bachelor of Landscape Architecture
- 2-3 years experience in the industry
- A detail oriented person
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with both peers and external stakeholders
