About the Position
City of Canada Bay Council is seeking two talented and passionate Landscape Architects to join our team. The successful candidates will play key roles in designing and implementing capital projects that enhance the liveability and attractiveness of our community. As a Landscape Architect, you will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, external partners, and the community to develop innovative solutions that integrate ecological principles, urban design principles, and community needs.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead the design and planning of capital projects, including parks, public spaces, streetscapes, and green infrastructure initiatives.
- Prepare conceptual designs, construction drawings, and specifications for landscape projects.
- Conduct site analysis, feasibility studies, and environmental assessments to inform design decisions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including planners, engineers, architects, and environmental scientists, to ensure integrated design solutions.
- Engage with stakeholders and the community to gather input, address concerns, and build consensus around design proposals.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, construction and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
- Stay current with emerging trends, best practices, and technologies in Landscape Architecture and urban design.
Essential Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Landscape Architecture or related discipline with demonstrated knowledge and several years of experience.
- Experience in procurement processes in accordance with the Local Government Act and relevant Regulations, including the preparation and assessment of tender documents, requests for quotation and awarding of contracts.
- Drivers Licence Class “C”
- Experience with Vectorworks, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Outlook and database applications
- High level communication skills, both verbal and written (correspondence and report writing).
- Demonstrated time management skills.

We are offering an attractive total remuneration from $92,107.24 to $105,923.32 + Super.
