A bit about the role
Reporting to the Coordinator Landscape, you will provide support and advice to developers and external consultants in the provision of outstanding public space. You will collaborate closely and liaise with other council business units including the Town Planning Growth Area, Engineering Subdivisions and other internal units involved in the growth subdivisions process.
What you’ll do
- Deliver high quality design outcomes in collaboration with developers and consultants
- Produce comprehensive assessments of subdivision landscape and urban design proposals
- Develop strategies to ensure improved landscaping and design outcomes in new subdivisions
What you’ll bring
- Experience and a demonstrated understanding of the principles and practice of the design of public space as it relates to environment, social and economic development
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills with the ability to communicate collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
- Landscape Architecture / Urban Design qualifications will be highly regarded
- A continuous improvement mindset with a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
