The successful applicants will be hard working, reliable physically fit and able to work unsupervised, with an awareness of WHS standards. As a member of the Landscaping Team, the role will include (but not be limited to):
Constructing gravel and paved areas, walls, fences, pergolas, ponds. barbecues and garden furniture.
Paving with blocks, natural stone and pre-cast flagging.
Mixing of concrete or mortar for various landscape applications
Reading, understanding and implementing landscape plans as detailed by the Site Supervisor.
Liaising with Site Supervisor over daily project tasks.
Garden bed preparation including hand excavation and backfilling with soil, weeding, planting and mulching of gardenbeds with both organic and inorganic mulch.
Raking and preparing topsoil for either grass seed or instant turf.
Hand seeding and rolling instant turf including cutting in.
Moving of landscape material/s around site by way of non-motorised equipment.
Trenching for both sub-soil drainage and irrigation including backfilling with soil.
Assisting Site Supervisor in measuring and or setting out of design features.
Irrigation installation from plan including connection of all components, system testing and programming.
Sweeping and cleaning work areas to maintain a safe working environment.
Coordinating the movement of heavier items such as rock boulders with other team members and machine operators.
The operation of light plant equipment including concrete mixers, cut off saws, plate compactors, submersible pumps etc.
Installation of various outside equipment and street furniture.
Maintaining company fleet (vehicles and machinery) by way of daily pre-starts and weekly cleaning.
The successful applicant/s must have the following:
Minimum of 3 years previous experience in the Landscaping industry (or min Cert III in Landscape Horticulture)
Current NT Driver Licence
Ability to work as part of a team
White Card
Basic working knowledge of WHS Policies & Procedures
Desirable:
MR Truck Licence
Excavator (LE) ticket
Skid Steer (LS) ticket
Certificate III in Landscape Horticulture
First Aid & CPR
Note:
This is a fulltime position, available for an immediate start. Salary range $60,000 - $75,000 per year commensurate with experience and/or qualifications. 3 years of relevant experience will substitute for formal qualifications.
