My client has just won another tender to continue their outstanding commercial landscape construction work with a local council.

Job tasks and responsibilities:
The successful applicant will be expected to be able to run a team of people on the ground with hands-on support from upper management and administrators.
The ideal candidate will be able to:
-Have a hands-on approach and to lead by example
-Lead a team to deliver high-quality commercial landscape projects.
-Managing, motivating, supervising, and directing site team and sub-contractors
- Effectively delegate and Complete daily tasks
- Efficiently manage your time.
- Willing and skilled to provide training and mentoring to staff.
- Have a sound understanding of Occupational Health and Safety.
- Be able to present to our clients and general public in a professional, polite manner and represent the company’s values.
-Running Site meetings/ Inductions and be responsible for all documentation and communication.
Mentoring and training apprentices
-Read and interpret drawings to translate to a practical application.
-Communicate and work with surveyors
-Provide daily site diaries and submit staff time sheets
-Work closely with a dedicated project manager to
Undertake procurement of materials and subcontractors
Monitor and update budgets
Monitor and update programs
Contribute to rostering and resource management
Skills and experience:
We require as a minimum the following-
- Cert III horticulture landscaping or equivalent
- A Minimum 3 years’ experience in a landscaping Supervisor role or relevant experience
-Proven job delivery history evidence required
-Have a sound knowledge of the commercial landscape industry and come ready to go.
- Experience with all aspects of hard and soft landscape and will need to be competent and skilled in specifically but not limited to;
- Manual car licence and MR Endorsement (desirable) but not required
- Bobcat and excavator Tickets (desirable) but not required
- Current first aid certification
