Our Opportunity
As a Senior Site Supervisor, you will contribute to the Construction operations ensuring that "The Mirvac Way's" core values and vision are preserved whilst promoting a strong professional image of the Construction Division.
Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Assume accountability for delivering of sub contractual trade requirements ensuring subcontractors complete their works within their time/cost and quality obligations.
- Liase with relevant Site and Project Engineers to issue site instructions and provide associated cost forecasting advice to the Project Administrator.
- Ensure you are familiar with the Subcontract agreement "Scope of Works".
- Develop together with Project Engineers and Project Manager, Short Range (4 weeks) programmes for review each week before the subcontractor coordination meeting.
- Ensure that resources, plant and equipment are adequate to achieve construction program milestones.
- Efficiently utilise materials handling provisions on the project including hoist, cranes and all other means of material movements developed for the project, including deliveries to site.
- Ensure on-site works are carried out in accordance with the subcontractor's Quality Assurance obligations and Mirvac's Quality Control processes to ensure correct standards are being maintained.
- The daily management of the Workplace Risk Management Plan (WRMP) in close coordination with the project safety coordinator, Construction Manager and Safety Representative
- Comply with the Mirvac HSE Management System HSE policies and procedures relevant your work area.
- Attend selected subcontract HSE audits with Project Safety Coordinator (as required).
- Ensure that sub-contractors adhere to their health, safety and environment obligations through work activity sequences agreed for activities.
- Ensure that you use the appropriate PPE and clothing along with correct training in its use.
Your point of difference
The ideal candidate must have 3 + years supervisory experience within construction and have recently worked on major/large scale residential, commercial, mixed use and retail projects as a Site Supervisor.
You will be results driven and practice health and safety processes and procedures while working in a collaborative delivery team.
