Frensham Junior School (Gib Gate Campus) is seeking a dynamic and energetic Languages Teacher (LOTE) to join its team on a part time basis.
Gib Gateis the Preschool and Primary campus of Frensham Schools [Frensham Junior School, Frensham and Sturt]. Single stream and co-educational, Frensham Junior School has a highly experienced team of staff and is set on a magnificent campus of 10 acres with outstanding specialist facilities for core and extra-curricular teaching and learning.
Teachers at Frensham Junior School are fully engaged in the individual care and educational support of students, both in and out of the classroom. They are responsible for highly developed, differentiated programmes, ongoing, formative assessment and feedback and current best practice teaching and learning strategies.
The position would suit a recent graduate or an experienced teacher with proven success in teaching language, preferably to a range of P-6 classes. The successful applicant will have strong interpersonal and organisational skills and be committed to implementing contemporary pedagogical practices.
All teaching staff are committed to a professional learning programme focused on improvement in professional practice as part of a school-wide pursuit of excellence in teaching.
We work collaboratively to promote language and culture across the school and have a long-standing sister school arrangement with Hokuriku Gakuin Elementary School in Kanazawa, Japan, involving regular communications and a school tour programme first established in 1990.
Experience in Japanese will be highly regarded, although we are open to other languages.
