Position Overview:
Hazell Bros has a new and exciting opportunity for a Launceston Workshop Supervisor. Reporting to the Northern Workshops Manager, you will provide leadership and support to a team of mechanics and apprentices both in the workshop and in field service. In this position you will be responsible for the delivery of a high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders with safety, teamwork and efficiency in mind. With an extensive fleet of fixed and mobile assets including transport, concrete, quarrying, earthmoving and more, you will have an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a diverse, national, family-owned company.
Key Responsibilities:
The roles will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- The ability to prioritise work with excellent stakeholder management skills
- Experience with scheduling, job delegation and coordination of workshop and field service employees
- Exposure to a diverse range of fixed and mobile assets in previous positions is desirable
- Excellent communication and a positive approach to leadership
- Willingness and ability to support and mentor apprentices by being a hands-on tools Supervisor from time to time
Qualifications, Requirements & Skills:
- Relevant Heavy Vehicle (On Road or Mobile Plant) Qualification
- Current Drivers Licence
- A Safety 1st Always Works attitude with a strong commitment to maintaining safe work practices
- Have a strong background servicing, repairing, and maintaining trucks or heavy machinery
- Show a strong work ethic & high attention to detail
