Law Clerk/Legal Assistant
About Us
Bale Boshev Lawyers was established in 1980 and has offices at Hamilton, East Maitland and Belmont. The Firm has a long standing presence in Newcastle and the Hunter area.
The Position
The position will be based at our Hamilton office and will be on a part-time basis (ideally 3 days per week), predominantly focused on Conveyancing, Leasing, business transactions, wills and estates and other general administrative work.
You will be responsible for managing all administrative aspects of client matters, including:
- File management – opening, closing and archiving of files
- Preparing contracts, leases, briefs, court documents & legal correspondence
- Liaising with, assisting and taking new enquiries from clients
- Liaising with third parties
- Diary and email management
- Time recording and billing
- Safe custody management
- General office Administration and answering phone calls
Skills & Experience
To be considered for the position, you will require the following attributes:
- Experience as a Legal Assistant or Law Clerk working hands on with files will be an advantage
- Preference given to those with experience in one or more of the areas of law detailed above
- Attention to detail
- Strong communication & computer skills
- Ability to take responsibility and ownership of your work
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise competing demands
- LEAP Software experience will be an advantage
