Mountains Lawyers has been established for over 24 years and has developed a strong reputation and client base in the south west region including Kwinana, Rockingham, Mandurah and the greater Peel Area. The firm and its principal have been recognised as finalists in the Australian Law Awards in the categories of Regional Law firm of the Year and Mentor of the year in 2021. Mountains Lawyers is expanding in both its areas of practice and locations. In 2024 we successfully recruited senior lawyers with a combined 36 years of experience in criminal law and dispute resolution & litigation to our existing team of now 6 experienced lawyers in the areas of: Wills and deceased estates; business (transactional) law; commercial and civil dispute resolution and litigation. An impressive total of circa 100 years of lawyer legal experience plus experienced paralegals, legal administration assistants, accounts and office managers and reception/client liaison make up our 12 friendly legal team.
Qualifications & experience
- LLB (or in final year of study towards a law degree)
Tasks & responsibilities
- As a Law Grad/Junior Lawyer you will have the opportunity to rotate through our main areas of practice under the supervision and mentorship of experienced senior lawyers to develop your career and help decide your future direction. Advancement opportunities available within practice areas of firm.
- You will commence with assisting the senior lawyer in our Estates section by sitting in with the lawyer on consultations with clients to take instructions; drafting wills and probate applications and assisting with administration of deceased estates.
- After successfully completing 6 months in the Estates section you may elect to remain in that section or transfer to the supervision and mentorship of a senior lawyer in another area of our law practice.
