Greenscape Gladstone are on the hunt for an A+ Lawn and Garden Maintenance Guru for our Lawn & Garden Maintenance Team.

We’re careful about who we hire.  We have to be, to maintain our team culture. Here’s what we need from you:

#     Must have Australian Manual Driver’s license with a clean history 

#     Operate a manual truck and tow/reverse a trailer.

#     Must be able to pass pre-employment medical and drug testing. 

#     Must have Construction Induction (Blue/White) Card or ability to obtain one.

#     Must have Current Blue Card & Yellow Card or ability to obtain one.

#     Must have Current Police Clearance or ability to obtain one.

#     Certificate II or III Horticulture or similar is desired but not essential.

#     AC/DC License is desired but not essential.

#     Chainsaw Ticket is desired but not essential.

#     LR/MR Truck license desirable but not essential. (can be trained and licensed for the right applicant).

Horticultural Duties and Softscapes Works:

Duties will include all aspects of General Ground Maintenance including Lawn and Garden Maintenance.

• Operate a range of garden & landscaping power tools
• Mow, whipper snip & edge lawns
• Trimming & shaping hedges/plants
• Pruning & lopping small to medium shrubs/trees
• Green-waste management & removal
• Weed management, identification, & herbicide treatment
• Pest management, identification, & pesticide treatment
• Lawn and Garden tidy-ups & makeovers
• Mulching, Fertilising and Planting gardens 
• Landscape labouring
• Working on commercial and residential sites
• Maintaining establishment periods post landscape construction
• An ability to manage time and daily work routines
• Daily work reports

Attributes, Skills and Experience:

• Experience using zero-turn mowers (Desirable)
• Experience using brush cutters (Desirable) 
• Maintaining high levels of presentation of customer gardens through pruning, hedging, garden edging and hand mowing and ride on mowing.
• Checking the health of plants by identifying any pests or diseases and controlling them
• Ability to do minor repairs and maintenance to small equipment is desired but not essential.
• Reliable, punctual and hard working 
• Have a good level of physical fitness to meet the manual handling requirements and sometimes challenging environmental conditions of the job.
• Commitment to safe work practices 
• Good communication skills
• Must be able to follow instructions and complete all given tasks.
