Our long-standing relationships and deep knowledge of the insurance industry means we are recognised as the premier Insurance Law & Litigation practice in Australia.

Working closely with the Partners, the position involves providing insurance and government clients with relevant legal advice regarding complex casualty and liability matters.

Responsibilities 

• Preparing advice on liability, prospects, quantum, reserves and strategy
• Engaging with independent experts and reviewing medical and other expert material
• Drafting court documents and settlement deeds
• Preparing witness statements
• Researching and providing legal analysis
• Preparing and reviewing discovered documents and evidence
• Engaging and liaising with independent experts, counsel, opposing lawyers and mediators
• Appearing at court, conferences and mediations and negotiating settlements
• Preparing briefs and instructing counsel during court hearings, mediations and conferences

About You 

• Suitable candidates must have a current practising certificate for New South Wales
• 2-4 years PAE
• Experience and a passion for personal injury insurance is highly preferred
• Training and experience gained in a mid or top tier law firm
• have an energetic and collaborative approach; and
• demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
