Bryks Lawyers acts for a diverse range of clients, including subsidiaries of multinationals, small and medium sized enterprises, small business owners, start-up companies, trusts, foundations and many high net worth individuals across a broad range of industries.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Property Lawyer with General Commercial law experience to join our team. The role commences immediately and is part time, 2 - 3 days per week, or the same hourly equivalent can be spread over the week to suit the right candidate. Flexibility is on offer, as well as the possibility of working 1 day a week from home.

You will also have the opportunity to engage directly with clients as it is expected that the right person will hit the ground running in a very practical way. You will join a dedicated, highly motivated, and friendly team of people who love a good laugh.
Your duties will include:
• undertaking all process steps in conveyancing transactions;
• advising on and drafting a full suite of contracts in property transactions including commercial leasing and deeds of assignment etc;
• reviewing and advising on property due diligence in M&A transactions, or standalone property transactions; and
• advising on general business contracts and commercial transactions.
The role would suit a person with the drive and experience to commit to high quality work, and who loves the flexibility of balancing their work with other life commitments.
Who we are looking for
You will have:
• 2 - 4 year PAE in property law / commercial transactions;
• experience in Victorian and/or Queensland conveyancing transactions is advantageous;
• experience in private loan and mortgage transactions is advantageous;
• an interest in commercial transactions, including business buy and sell transactions;
• demonstrated ability to work well in a team and autonomously;
• strong technical, analytical, drafting and research skills;
• excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude;
• sound academic results; and
• a commercial approach.
Experience or an interest in building and construction, intellectual property, employment law and business transactions will be highly regarded.
