Marsdens are currently looking for a Commercial Disputes and Litigation Lawyer with a strong track record of work performance and proven interest and aptitude for litigation to join our Sydney Office.
About you:
We expect that the successful applicant to:
- Have 1 to 3 years PQE of COMMERCIAL DISPUTE RESOLUTION experience in the private practice environment;
- Have excellent technical skills;
- Have a commercial approach to work;
- Be a robust and resilient problem solver who is prepared to develop into a strong advocate for our clients;
- Have a flexible and an innovative approach to developing our practice while working closely with experienced litigators;
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Have a strong work ethic, ability to provide high quality client service, excellent attention to detail and effective time management skills;
- Be a committed team player who is also capable of working autonomously.
Key responsibilities:
- Building and construction disputes
- Strata disputes
- SOPA claims
- Matters across different jurisdictions including Local Court, NCAT, District Court and Supreme Court of NSW and Federal Courts.
- Trade practices disputes
- Consumer disputes
- IP and IT disputes
- Contractual disputes
- Breach of equitable duties and disputes in Equity
- Corporate and share-holder disputes
- Regulatory disputes
- Inquiries
- Corporate and Personal Insolvency
