Lawyer - Commercial Litigation

The roleWe’re looking for a Lawyer to join our Sydney Litigation team. The position will be working closely with and providing support to five mid and senior level lawyers and two junior lawyers of similar experience to you. The types of matters the litigation team works on include:Providing officers and boards with comprehensive advice in advance of making critical board decisions and general corporate governanceAdvising insolvency practitioners and conducting litigation relating to restructures and insolvent entities.Defending investigations and prosecutions brought by ASIC against companies and individuals for breaches of the Corporations Act 2001.Resolving shareholder oppression actions.Conducting litigation in regards to disputed contract rights and obligations.Advising responsible entities and trustees on the operation and management of their schemes.Acting for parties in joint venture, partnership and M&A disputes.Financial services disputes and complaints.We’re looking for someone: with 2 years’ experience; who has Commercial Litigation experience;who has decided they enjoy working in a disputes team and would like to develop their skills;who wants a close knit, high performing and collaborative team culture; and with an entrepreneurial and innovative mind-set. The firm Hamilton Locke is an international law firm evolving the traditional approach to corporate and commercial legal services.
