- Representing clients including preparing matters, instructing counsel and appearing for accused persons in all general criminal law matters
- Provide legal information and advice to clients and the public
- Provide duty lawyer services in the Magistrates and Children's Courts and appear on higher court call-overs and mentions.
- Experience in the conduct of summary and indictable criminal law matters and related areas of law – experience in youth crime is desirable
- Knowledge of the practice and procedure of criminal law, evidence and ethics
- The ability to build and sustain relationships with team members, other colleagues and external stakeholders.
- 36.25 hrs per week (full time hours)
