The Role
Our National Tax and Tax Controversy team, renowned as the preeminent Tax Controversy practice amongst Australian law firms, is led by industry experts with extensive experience across the full spectrum of tax laws. We are currently seeking a talented Lawyer or Associate to join our specialist Tax Controversy practice. You will work closely with the team across a diverse range of Tax Controversy matters for a variety of clients, from high net worth individuals and private companies through to large multinationals, as well as acting for the ATO. This role involves assisting clients through audits, reviews, objections, and tax litigation, whilst working on interesting and high-profile tax matters.

We invite applications from lawyers (up to 5 years PQE) who:
Have technical proficiency in tax. Applicants with a technical background and some experience in Tax Controversy will be highly regarded.
Have experience working in a law firm, Big 4 professional services firm, or government in a tax-related field.
Possess exceptional plain English drafting skills and the ability to explain complex issues to clients clearly and concisely.
Demonstrate unwavering attention to detail and technical excellence.
Are client-focused and committed to forming enduring relationships with clients and industry experts.
