Lawyer/Senior Associate - Restructuring/Insolvency (3-9 Pae) - Sydney

We represent a leading global firm with decades of experience advising  corporations, financial institutions and governments on the most complex transactions, disputes and projects. 
 
The Restructuring and Insolvency Team 

The team are highly regarded for their comprehensive service to clients on the full spectrum of issues that arise from corporate distress, distressed investing and formal insolvencies. They advise lenders, debtors, potential purchasers, and insolvency officeholders on various matters such as directors' duties, due diligence, debt buy-backs, debt trading, litigation, schemes of arrangements and pensions. 

In particular, their extensive geographic presence means they are well versed to deal with cross-border proceedings, whilst remaining a commercial focus. 

The Role 
The team is now looking for a Lawyer OR Senior Associate wishing for long term career development to join their Sydney office. This role will see you working on diverse restructuring and insolvency matters such as:

• Standstill arrangements
• Work-out proposals
• Acquisition and disposal of distressed assets
• Schemes of arrangement
• Receiverships
• Voluntary administrations
• Liquidations
• Cross-border insolvency work

Requirements To be successful, you will have between 3-9 years' restructuring and insolvency experienced working at a top-tier firm, or a combination of top-tier and an in-house environment. 

In addition, you will have the following:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and drafting skills 
• Demonstrated business acumen and an ability to articulate and negotiate effectively 
• The ability to work well collaboratively with others in a team, whilst also being able to work independently and autonomously
• A positive and motivated approach, committed to providing superior service 
• Great interpersonal skills and the ability to build long lasting client relationships
