Project Overview:
Pluto Train 2 is the expansion of a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia run by Woodside Energy. 
Woodside Energy is Australia's leading natural gas producer, and Bechtel is excited to be working with this key customer to help meet the increasing global demand for LNG as a transitional energy source.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for material management activities for a project. 
You will ensure conformance to corporate policies including the receipt, inspection, storage, inventory control, physical security, and issue of materials and equipment. You will monitor employee utilization, work hours, and staffing. Your efforts will help ensure accurate, efficient, and timely material management. 
Major Responsibilities:
-Responsible for material management activities for project temporary operating and jobsite locations on a medium sized project. 
-Identifies the need and completing the action for all UOS&D material and equipment received at project temporary operating and jobsite locations .
-Initiates actions to identify and dispose of material and equipment declared excess to project needs by project management .
-Prepares recommendations for facilities and equipment necessary to provide for professional material management operations at project temporary and jobsite locations, as specifically directed by the Project Field Procurement Manager – this activity begins as early as practical in the planning stages and continues throughout the project. 
-Supervises material control operations of personnel assigned to the project temporary operating and jobsite locations to ensure conformance to corporate, global business unit and project policies and procedures in all disciplines and functional areas for which material management is responsible.
-Other tasks as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
-Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
 
Required Knowledge and Skills:
-Knowledge of inventory management, materials management automated systems, interfaces between systems, and how data is shared and managed.
-Good organizational skills.
-Knowledge of the full scope of inventory management functions on a construction project, including personnel required to execute known workload.
-Demonstrated leadership skills.
-Advanced knowledge of work packaging and materials status reporting.
-Demonstrated experience in directing or leading professional and craft professional workforces.
Working Rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.

Additional Information:
This position has responsibilities that include exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions, which may include: extensive walking in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), use of personal fall arrest equipment, walking and working on uneven surfaces, working in constricted and/or confined spaces, variable work shifts (e.g., day, night, weekends, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, etc.), and work in inclement weather. Some lifting may be required. Candidate must be able to use standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. respirator, harness, life vest, hearing protection, etc.).
The Pluto Train 2 Project is a Major Hazard Facility meaning this is a non-smoking site and no tobacco products – i.e. cigarettes, vapes, lighters, tobacco - are permitted to be brought to the site
