Reporting to the Assistant Direct Technology Solutions (Services), the Lead Business Support Officer – Telecommunications, plays an integral role in ensuring the Archdiocesan telecommunications services are managed in an effective manner that returns value to the organisation by proactively managing tasks for the Technology Solutions team and its stakeholders across the Archdiocese relating to telecommunications services and providers.
This role is primarily responsible for providing oversight of all telecommunications services and related activities including: ensuring services are fit for purpose, provisioned in a timely manner, maintained according to contracted values, providing support across all aspects of the telecommunications services and asset fleet, lifecycle management for telecommunication services, devices and internet connectivity.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Mobile-asset procurement administration,
- Mobile-asset management lifecycle activities,
- Providing expert guidance relating to telecommunications offerings and project administration.
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of telecommunications vendors and platforms with more than 3 years’ experience in a support role with a heavy focus on telecommunications,
- Intermediate knowledge of mobile device hardware + operating system software,
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs, especially Excel,
- Ability to take requirements and execute instructions within their delegation, working without constant supervision but willing to seek guidance or clarification when required,
- Lead and influence support teams in telecommunications related activities,
- Excellent oral and communications skills,
- Ability to build rapport with both internal and external customers,
- Behaviour compatible with values and teachings of the Church,
- Willingness to undergo a Police Check (at no cost to you).
