Lead Carpenter

Callery Building are looking for a Lead Carpenter with a drive to challenge themselves & lead a team on residential building projects.

We have created an environment for individuals to grow & expand their knowledge in all areas of residential construction, with a strong focus on constructing & retrofitting homes to be as comfortable, sustainable & energy efficient as possible.

With renovation, alteration & addition projects ranging from $20k up to $1.5m, the successful candidate must have a broad skillset & willingness to take on a challenge, not matter how small or large.

Please DO NOT apply if you are limited to one skillset such as solely 1st fix or solely 2nd fix. This role is for a driven allrounder with exception problem solving skills.

Below are requirements for the role:

• Be willing to work with in a 30 minutes travel radius of Stepney (Home Base)
• Possess in-depth knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, tools, building codes & standards, safety practices & ability to read & interperate plans
• Have majority of own tools - Tools such as air compressor, quick cut saw, jackhammer can be supplied
• Adept at finding practical solutions to unexpected challenges on the job
• Able to work in a team & individually 
• Eagerness to grow professionally & personally within the role
• Ability in or willingness to learn better & higher performing building practices is vital
