Our Mother Duck Manly Centre is a converted Queenslander home, that provides a beautiful setting for educating and caring for young children. We are a 75-place centre with a large natural outdoor environment, rarely found in childcare settings today. We are located minutes from the scenic Manly Harbor, with the train station and bus stop close by.
About The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Lead Educator to work in our Senior Studio alongside a second Lead Educator and two Assistant Educators. This studio caters for 20 children, aged 2-3yrs. We are looking for someone who wants to learn and grow while being supported by a highly qualified team which includes a non-contact Pedagogical Coordinator and a centre owned Nominated Supervisor. We value educational research and are looking for a team member who will be a true advocate for the children in their care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the team to complete documentation of children's development and learning
- Collaborate with the team in providing a haven for children to feel safe and secure
- Collaborate with the team to provide children with a clean, safe and inviting learning environment
- Engage in professional and respectful communication with families, children and the team
- Assist in the running of studio meetings and engage in whole team professional conversations
- Contribute to the philosophy of the educational curriculum and actively live the values and vision of the centre and Mother Duck
- Support your colleagues in striving for a high-quality curriculum, embedding practices and
- Collaborate with the team at professional conversations to extend and deepen our understanding of child development.

Skills and experience:
- Diploma in Early childhood Education and Care or working towards
- Current Blue Card
- Current First aid and CPR
- Current approved anaphylaxis and asthma management certificates
- A passion for teaching, professional development and collaboration
