AppleBerries Early Education is a family owned small group of centres with a tight knit team. Our service at Kallangur is seeking a motivated and dynamic Lead Educator for our Outside school hours care (OSHC) room. As a part of the Kallangur Leadership Team, you will be surrounded by like minded staff in a safe and exciting environment.
AppleBerries Kallangur is bright and cheery, and the yards are amazing, the best you have ever seen. There are amazing nooks for children to play in, and the resources are all modern and plentiful.
Working hours will be based around the needs of the OSHC programme and will be a split shift: Mon - Friday 7am - 9am & 2pm to 5:30pm
A standard driving licence is required as we provide a bus service.

About the role
The Lead Educator role is empowered with the day to day management of the educational activities in your room and age group.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Planning and Implementation:
Collaborate with the team to develop and implement a diverse range of age-appropriate activities and experiences that cater to the interests and needs of the children.
Ensure that the OSHC program aligns with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and reflects the principles of the My Time, Our Place framework.
Safety and Well-being:
Uphold health and safety standards by conducting regular risk assessments, maintaining a clean and hazard-free environment, and adhering to relevant policies and procedures.
Monitor children's well-being and intervene as necessary to address any concerns or issues promptly.
Relationship Building:
Foster positive relationships with children, families, and the broader community, promoting open communication and collaboration.
Provide support and guidance to children, encouraging their participation, autonomy, and sense of belonging within the OSHC program.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of attendance, incident reports, and child observations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Communicate effectively with families regarding their child's participation, achievements, and any relevant information.
Skills and experience
Prior experience as a Lead Educator highly regarded
Diploma Qualified
Driving Licence Required.
Experience in the early childhood sector
Strong ethical values and ability to rally your team around these
