About us
We are a not-for-profit community led organisation that encompasses two Early Education Centres and a C&K Kindergarten. We pride ourselves on being a supportive organisation committed to our values of inclusiveness, collaboration, trust, respect, integrity, and safety.
About the role
Based at the Nash Street early education Centre, the Lead Educator is responsible for developing and implementing the educational programs and achieving quality learning outcomes. You will do this by:
- Using a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, indoor or outdoor games, drawing etc) to enhance the child’s abilities
- Creating and maintaining an inclusive, fun, safe, healthy, productive and effective learning environment
- Creating and maintaining excellent relationships with children, families, carers and other team members
- Keeping records of children’s progress, routines and interests
- Ensuring compliance with routines, policies, procedures and practices
- Utilising EDUCA online documentation as well as having clear established pathways and guidelines for documentation.
About you
You will light up our children’s faces every day by being enthusiastic, fun and have a strong commitment to providing high-quality care. You will also have:
- Demonstrated success in a similar role
- Relevant early childhood education qualifications (i.e.. Diploma level)
- Skilled in documenting observations of children’s behaviour and development, in the form of learning stories
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Computer literacy
- Proven willingness to learn and improve
- Current Working with Children check, First-Aid Certificate, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
