We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Governance and Planning Lead to join our Sustainability Performance team in Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Head of Sustainability Performance, you will be responsible for providing high quality planning and coordination of reporting to the Board Safety & Sustainability Committee, Sustainability Management Committee and the Climate Portfolio Emissions Management Group. You will also provide planning support for the sustainability function (Sustainability Performance, Net Zero and Climate and Community and Social Performance teams) to ensure the implementation of the sustainability integrated workplan.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the General Manager Sustainability and direct reports (Heads of Sustainability Performance, Net Zero and Climate and Community and Social Performance) to set committee agendas, develop and issue papers to meet internal governance committee deadlines and requirements
- Liaise with the General Manager, Sustainability and Company Secretary to drive committee agendas that related to sustainability
- Work with senior leaders and action owners from Sustainability and other areas of the business to track and monitor progress on key milestones, projects and actions.
- Ensure the sustainability and climate related governance models are functioning well and per committee charters and terms of references
- Program logistics support - managing the program cadence, booking meetings, capturing outputs (actions, decisions, minutes etc) preparation of Governing Committee minutes (monthly/quarterly)
- Maintain the sustainability Integrated Workplan, information, documents, registers and files accurately in the Teams environment
- When required, support the Sustainability Reporting Manager with planning and scheduling for APA's sustainability related disclosures (for example Annual Report, Annual Climate Report, UNCG COP)
- Administration of Sustainability sharepoint site, empower page, mailbox and distribution lists
About You
- At least 5years' experience in a similar governance, planning or project management role in large, multi-stream program environments or supporting a multidisciplinary operational function
- A passion for sustainability
- Highly organised with an attention to detail and experience in program planning/ project management
- Experience preparing reports for executive and Governing Committees, preparing and following up Committee actions
- Understanding of annual sustainability reporting processes
- Experience working with (or willingness to learn) GRI, ISSB, SASB,TCFD and/or GHG Protocol
