- Thoroughly reviewing functional statements, organizational charts, and project-related information to ascertain the specific functions and responsibilities assigned to employees and work units, and to pinpoint any instances of redundancy or duplication within the organization.
- Leading and overseeing a team of skilled process engineers in designing, developing, and implementing innovative mechanical processes.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define project objectives, scope, and timelines, ensuring seamless execution of projects.
- Defining guidelines and regulations in line with engineering principles and safety standards for tasks such as installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection, and maintenance.
- Creating mechanical equipment, machines, components, and products intended for manufacturing, as well as designing plant and construction systems.
- Conducting detailed analysis of existing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending strategic enhancements to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Designing and implementing experiments and tests to validate process improvements and innovations, utilizing data-driven approaches to guide decision-making.
- Assist in all engineering assurance processes such HAZIDs, riskassessments, HAZOPs, constructability reviews, etc.
- Providing technical expertise and mentorship to team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Conducting plant inspections to ensure that optimal performance is upheld.
- Collaborating closely with external stakeholders to ensure alignment between engineering, production, and business goals.
- Evaluating workforce usage, facility arrangement, operational data, production schedules, and expenses to identify the most efficient worker and equipment utilization.
- Staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance the company's process engineering capabilities.
- Preparing process line, equipment, valve and instrument lists.
- BEng Mechanical Degree or BEng Chemical Degree qualified.
- 10 years+ technical design experience.
- Exposure to process and structural disciplines such as EI&C
- Proven background working in the Engineering Consultancy field.
- Worked on a project in a lead function (IE: Senior Project, Senior Mechanical Engineer or in another leading capacity)
- Must have Oil & Gas and/or Petrochemical or Water experience.
