Lead Product Owner - Sydney
I've got a fantastic opportunity for a Lead Product Owner to join a global insurance company on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Head of Digital Insurance, the ideal candidate will drive the delivery of a new digital product throughout the business. The ideal candidate will have experienced scaling up a startup or mid-sized organization and have a commercial mindset. You will be working in a fully agile environment and will have 5 direct reports.
About you
The Successful Applicant Will:

• Drive end-to-end development of digital solutions for their domain to deliver the underwriting craftsmanship and expertise via a product-platform model
• Provide inputs to ensure product roadmaps are in line with business strategy
• Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs) for integrated planning, prioritization, resource allocation, and to shape the OKRs for the squads in their domain
• Build a collaborative and high-performing team through role modelling, coaching, leadership, and mentorship of SDLs and POs in the domain
• Manage the domain budget and guide the overall direction of the domain including all strategic decision-making, resource allocation across squads, and upholding work product quality standards

Qualifications:

• Financial and P&L ownership: demonstrated track record of tying large-scale business efforts to measurable outcomes
• Demonstrated end-to-end product lifecycle management expertise, preferably in an insurance industry setting
• 15+ years of professional experience as a Product Owner or business transformation executive
• Background in business, computer science, customer experience, or technology- MS/BS degree in software development, IT, product management, finance, business, economics, insurance or risk management
