About the role
The Project Support Officers provide administration support to the project teams to ensure timely performance while ensuring compliance to the company and customer requirements. The Lead Project Support Officer will manage the team of PSO’s with training, development and leave management as well as ensuring coverage for all projects. This role reports to the Maintenance Manager.
Key objectives & responsibilities include:
- Direct line management of up to 15 staff including training and development.
- Coordinate allocation of Project Support Officers to projects in hand, including managing leave coverage.
- Performance of the Project Support Officer roles and responsibilities (PD available for review).
- Liaise with key project stakeholders, both internal and external to ensure processes are developed, understood, and followed to support team outcomes.
Required Skills / Experience / Attributes:
Essential
- Hold a Construction safety induction (white card)
- Ability to gain Baseline Security Clearance (Australian Citizen)
- Diploma in Business Office Administration and/or demonstrable relevant experience working in an administrative/Project Support role.
- Diploma in frontline management/leadership and/or demonstrable relevant experience leading teams and managing subordinates.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to work to tight deadlines whilst managing multiple project staff.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to build effective relationships and liaise across all levels internally and externally. A collaborative communication style with the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Advanced knowledge and competency in Microsoft Office suite with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Desirable
- Proficient in IFS or a similar ERP system.
- Excellent presentation skills to develop and deliver training modules to other business units that interact with the Project Support Officers.
- Certificate in Project Management or demonstrable relevant experience with Project Management
