VEGA HSE is currently working with an international logistics and warehouse / packaging firm who are looking to appoint a site based HSE advisor for a large industrial warehouse in Sydney's western suburbs.
Reporting to the General Manager this is a “boots on the ground" hands on safety role with the successful candidate expected to be responsible for all aspects of safety at floor level. You will be expected to liaise with manufacturing staff, managers, maintenance contractors and the end client and ultimately influence the safety culture within the company.
Along with regular floor walks and staff interaction you will also be responsible for conducting risk assessments, incident investigations and root cause analysis investigations. You will also facilitate all aspects of incident/injury management and return to work procedure.
To apply for this role you must have a minimum qualification of cert IV in workplace health and safety and have relevant experience in a manufacturing / warehouse environment. You will also have a return to work qualification and experience with accident / injury management.
This is a minimum 6 month contract role with the option of extension upon completion. A competitive daily rate will be awarded to the successful candidate.
