About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the management of a range of health and safety risks. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the ongoing development, delivery, operationalisation and improvement of Work Health and safety initiatives to prevent ill-health and optimise worker wellbeing. The role will work closely with the Safety, Wellbeing & Recovery Manager, team and the business to develop frameworks and programs, build capability of our workforce and obtain assurance to optimise outcomes and enable our workforce to thrive. Selection Criteria:
1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia
2. Knowledge and experience in the development and implementation of best practice Work Health, safety and wellbeing programs3. Qualifications, registration and professional membership relevant to this position (e.g. Work Health and safety etc.). Australian Institute of Health and Safety (AIHS) Membership & Certification highly regarded. Current Driver’s Licence is required.4. High level communication, influencing and negotiation skills and demonstrated experience in stakeholder management5. Change and Project management: High-level organisational skills and proven ability to successfully implement change initiatives and projects within time, cost and quality parameters6. Education, Training and Assessment: Knowledge, experience and qualifications in the assessment of capability, education delivery and contemporary approaches to building and sustaining capability7. Incident, Injury and Illness Management: Knowledge, experience and/or qualifications in incident investigation, work and non-work-related illness and injury management requirements and first aid8. Audit: Knowledge, experience and qualifications in auditing
