Responsibilities:
There now exists an opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join their team on a fixed-term basis for around 8 months to support an ongoing project and ensure compliance with all relevant Health and Safety regulations. Your role will involve overseeing and facilitating the safety operations of the project, ensuring coordination of Health and Safety practices, systems, and procedures throughout the project duration.
Your role will include:
- Attend meetings and provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on all aspects of Health and Safety.
- Deliver Health and Safety training programs and toolbox talks to staff at all levels.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and produce detailed reports with recommendations for improvements.
- Assist in the preparation of Health and Safety reports for senior management.
- Conduct risk assessments and site inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Foster a positive safety culture through engagement and communication.
- Proven experience in a Health and Safety Advisory role, preferably within the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and Health and Safety management systems.
