You will also deliver research as an individual contributor, representing UX research to various audiences. Your high level of research input will be crucial for peers, managers, and executives.Your role involves expanding market presence in regulatory compliance and driving new business acquisition through effective prospecting and closing skills.Reporting to the Director, this is a permanent full-time role to be based in Sydney with the possibility of combined home/office-based arrangements to have flexible work-life balance.Responsibilities:Managing a team to plan and conduct research, analyze findings, and inspire ownership of resultsCrafting broader research aligned to OKRs and UX RoadmapFacilitating ideation with cross-functional teamsCollaborating with senior stakeholders to develop activities for gathering insightsCoaching others in selecting and applying research methodologies and insights frameworksLeading the team in using data to establish key metrics for projects and inform research strategyFocusing the team on priority problems from the customer's point of viewIdentifying risks to users and ensuring a solid understanding of customer use casesCollaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure user findings are fed into the design and engineering processIdentifying convergent opportunities within competitor, regulatory environment, market trends, and user segmentsPartnering with Marketing, Strategy, and Customer Insight to identify convergent opportunitiesEnsuring recruiting activities are compliant and providing adequate training for the teamAssisting in vendor management for the teamOverseeing the curation of research best practices for meaningful impactInstilling a culture of learning within the teamRequirements:Have experience in a wide range of User Research methods like JTBD, Interview, Survey, etc.Be capable of leading constructive reviews with team members for research study design and script writingBe able to recommend appropriate sample sizes suitable for the research methodBe capable of independently practicing basic qualitative and quantitative analysis techniquesBe able to co-lead problem exploration with stakeholdersHave competence in identifying research strategies for solutionsCan create new frameworks that solicit meaningful insights within multiple product contextsBe competent in managing PII compliantly and proficiently using research softwareWork in a way that works for you
