Position Descriptor:
Yalata Anangu School is part of a remote Aboriginal Community in the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands Partnership and is situated on the Far West Coast approx. 200 kilometres (120 mi) west of Ceduna and 140 km (87 mi) south of Ooldea on the edge of the Nullarbor Plain in South Australia. The school has a strong focus on developing oral literacy and phonological awareness, reading and writing, together with developing social and emotional school readiness.
Yalata Anangu School has a Child Family Centre with a playgroup for birth to 3 year olds, and preschool 3-5 years old. The school caters for Reception through to year 12 and has a FLO program for year 10-12. Students are provided with the opportunity to connect with other educational opportunities through the Wiltja Boarding program at The Avenues School in Windsor Gardens Adelaide, The Trade Training Centre at Umuwa and TAFE SA.
In addition to the salary, the following financial incentives apply:

To ensure employer compliance of duty of care responsibilities given the unique environment of the Anangu Lands, a wellness check will be conducted for any leader nominated for this position and prior to any offer of employment.
