The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity awaits a talented and Baseline cleared APS6 Leadership and Talent Program Manager to join our client's dynamic team. This immediate start role offers the chance to contribute to the organisation's success and enhance its capabilities. The successful candidate will lead and manage Leadership and Talent Programs, collaborating with an external provider to design and implement initiatives. Reporting directly to the Director, Capability Strategy, and closely working with the People Team, this role provides flexibility in working arrangements within a supportive and positive team culture.
The Role
As the APS6 Leadership and Talent Program Manager, you will play a crucial role with responsibilities including:
- Designing and implementing agency-wide leadership development programs
- Maintaining relevant intranet content for effective program promotion
- Collaborating with business groups to create a specialised Capability Curriculum
- Deploying a contemporary learning evaluation framework for effective learning offerings
- Developing and implementing capability development policies, frameworks, and tools aligned with APS learning strategies
- Supporting the design of broader learning initiatives fostering a culture of continuous learning
- Assisting in the preparation of publications, promotional communications, reports, and briefing materials
- Providing advice on leadership development, capability, or learning matters to internal and external stakeholders
The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated experience in designing and implementing leadership development and Talent initiatives, including workforce planning and organisational development. You will also have:
- High-level stakeholder management skills with a proven track record of building positive relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills aligned with the Australian Government Style Manual
- Project management skills and strategic thinking capacity in the context of capability or organisational development
- Proven knowledge of contemporary learning and development methodologies, adult learning principles, and facilitation skills
- Experience in procurement and contract management of third-party providers
- Alignment with our client's values and enthusiasm for purposeful work in a collaborative and flexible environment
