Assess mechanical tasks coming into the workshop for maintenance, diagnose faults and prepare a detailed scope of work, including parts. Effectively manage workshop personnel Ensuring all maintenance repairs are performed in accordance with company guidelines and within time & cost targets. Perform scheduled preventative mechanical servicing on various models of heavy earthmoving equipment. Contribute to skills development of apprentices and ensure effective knowledge and skills transfer to less experienced tradesmen.What we’ll need from you: Recognised National Trade Qualification (Heavy Diesel Mobile Plant) Hold a current High-Risk Licence - Forklift Australian Drivers Licence Prior demonstratable leadership experience Experience working on CAT, Hitachi and Komatsu mining / heavy earth moving equipment. A 'can do' attitude - A passion for CAT mechanical rebuilds and ability to make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an emphasis on developing effective relationships and team building. The ability to assess mechanical tasks coming into the workshop for maintenance, diagnose faults and prepare a detailed scope of work, including parts.
