A Company based in Millicent requires a Leading hand. The position is Full Time and would also require manual labour.
Duties will Include:
Ensuring site safety rules and Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to
Meeting production targets according to the production plan
Reporting safety incidents, near misses, and quality issues
Implementing standardized work processes to make high quality products that meet standards
Reducing machine downtime, rework, and scrap
Communicating safety and quality alerts to the production team
Keeping track of material level on the production floor
Timber stacking and grading and processing
Some Forklift operations
Requirements:
Mechanical and timber background strongly regarded
Forklift Licence
Ability to lead small teams
Demonstrated interpersonal skills
Able to perform under limited supervision
Ability to prioritise and plan work for self and others
Physically fit and capable of lifting
A commitment to safety with the ability to follow site policies and procedures
