Do you want a long weekend every fortnight while working locally? Our parks team is in search of a skilled Leading Hand: Parks Maintenance Operator to compliment our dynamic team.
As a Leading Hand: Parks Maintenance Operator, you will hold a pivotal role in ensuring the continuous upkeep of our Parks and green spaces to guarantee they remain pristine and captivating for the community's enjoyment.
You'll be leading the charge towards landscape excellence, operating state-of-the-art machinery, and overseeing tasks ranging from weeding, mulching, to planting. If you harbor a passion for outdoor beauty combined with hands-on expertise, seize this opportunity to advance your career with us.
What You Will Be Working On
- Supervising the operation of trucks and 4WD spray units for park and reserve maintenance.
- Expertly utilizing tractors and various 3-point linkage equipment as required.
- Executing horticultural and landscaping activities such as earthworking, mulching, weeding, pruning, planting, and the responsible application of herbicides.
- Proficiently using mowers, whipper snippers, and other small equipment for maintenance tasks.
What We Are Seeking
- Possession of a Basic Worksite Traffic Management certificate.
- Chainsaw Competency certificate.
- First Aid certificate.
- Extensive experience in large-scale parks maintenance.
- Proficiency in operating a variety of horticultural plant and equipment safely and competently.
- Previous experience operating ride-on mowers and powered spray units.
- Current MR license.
- Ability to obtain a current National Police Check.
