Leading Hand Sheetmetal Worker / Fabricator

To succeed in this role, you will be Australian Trade Qualified with Leading Hand / supervisory experience in a workshop environment.

You will be an active team member, eventually leading the production team servicing a large and active market by manufacturing a diverse range of quality building products including Colorbond© steel roofing, wall cladding, rainwater goods, fascia & gutter systems and home improvement products such as fencing, carports and patios, structural solutions including purlins, Bondek & custom flashings for all uses, just to name a few.

This role will require the flexibility to support overlapping both day (5am – 1pm) and afternoon shifts (1pm – 9pm) and additional work hours when required to ensure uninterrupted production and support operational activities. You will have flexible work hours predominantly during the day shift.
 
What Will You Do?
In your role as the Leading Hand Sheet Metal Worker, you will be playing an important part in the manufacturing process and your contributions will ensure that our customers receive a supportive, timely and professional service. This will include:

• Operating both hand tools and machines (experience with Brake Press and Turret Punch would be a bonus)
• Ability to interpret engineering & fabrication drawings
• Cut, bend, and shape sheet metal using various tools and equipment
• Work with attention to detail and completing product quality assurance checks
• You will be able to lead by example, teach and work with other workshop employees
